Our objective is to: UNITE women of the Democratic Party; Promote the cause of the Democratic Party,ENCOURAGE full participation of women in every level of the Democratic Party Structure and PROVIDE active support for those men and women, who now hold elected positions in local, state and national government.
Congresswoman Jahana Hayes is from Connecticuts 5th district. She is the first African American sent to Washington, D.C. President Barack Obama named Hayes National Teacher of the Year in 2016. She taught school in Waterbury, Connecticut.
